Recommended to serge or stitch open seam before 1st wash. Open seams (linen) frays easily. 
Linen washing instructions:
 
Detergent selection: a gentle laundry detergent is recommended. Please avoid laundry powders since they're more alkaline and may cause the color of linen clothes to fade.
Cold/cool wash cycles/ 35 ℃ to 40 ℃ to protect the color and texture of the linen fabric.
Avoid rubbing or wringing to maintain the shape and softness of the fabric.
Drying and ironing: Avoid wringing out the fabric, hang dry in a cool and ventilated place. 
Ironing is best done when the fabric is semi-dry.
