Medium and Regular Flow Pads - DEAR KAT Collection

Dear Kat Specialty Linen Trio
This one is personal.
Dear Kat is my little ode to Kat Von D.
Her art, her unmistakable aesthetic, her creativity, and the way she has continued to evolve throughout her life inspired me to create something a little different for this Specialty Linen Collection.
Dark. Feminine. Romantic. Unpolished. A little chaotic.
And entirely its own.
 
I began with a very specific vision for the black linen backing. I designed a custom silicone stencil and spent a considerable amount of time trying to bring that design to life.
 
It did not go according to plan.
 
Silicone is an incredibly difficult medium to work with this way. So I created another stencil. I layered it over portions of the original. I reworked things. I experimented. And eventually I stopped trying to force everything into perfect lines.
 
What emerged felt strangely right for this collection.
 
The silicone is reflective, irregular, layered and beautifully chaotic. Depending on how the light catches it, you may see the head of a hairless cat. From another angle, filigree appears. Look again and you may see the figure of a woman with her cat.
And sometimes it simply looks abstract.
No two came out alike.
 
The Trio
Each limited Dear Kat Trio contains three reusable linen pads:
• One 10 inch Medium with the experimental silicone artwork on black linen backing and red scalloped top stitching
• One 10 inch Medium with roses, red scalloped top stitching and a silicone anti slip strip
• One 9 inch Regular with black backing, silicone dotting and red top stitching

10" Medium Pad with the experimental silicone artwork on black linen backing and red scalloped top stitching for moderate flow/light incontinence
 
Inside Each Pad
At the heart of these pieces is the same thoughtful construction as my other White Rose Linen pads.
The layer against the body is 100% undyed linen.
Inside is a Zorb® First Generation absorbent core, followed by a whisper thin leak resistant nylon layer and the decorative backing.
Silicone grip is applied to the backing to help reduce movement during wear.
 
And Then There Is the Bookmark...
Every trio comes with an original Dear Kat poem bookmark that I wrote and designed for this collection.
The poem is part of the piece.
It speaks of being molded and changed, of shadows and reflection, of looking inward, and of something precious remaining even when its reflection changes.
 
It ends simply:
dear kat,
journey on
 
Perhaps somehow, through all of you, one of these little bookmarks will eventually find its way to the Kat it was written for. 🖤
 
A Note About This Specialty Collection
Please look closely at the photographs before purchasing.
The silicone artwork on these pads is intentionally unlike the uniform silicone applications you may be accustomed to seeing on my other pads. It is layered, irregular and unpredictable. Some areas are heavier, some lighter. Some imagery is recognizable, while other portions are much more abstract.
 
That chaotic appearance is part of this particular collection.
Every pad is different and individual sets cannot be selected. The photographs show the character and range of the collection rather than the exact silicone design you will receive.
They are offered exactly as they came from this creative process.
Imperfect.
Dark.
Romantic.
Beautifully chaotic.
Completely one of a kind.
 
Once they are gone, this exact collection will not be recreated.
